How would you describe the work you do and why?:
A direct response to the surroundings - landscape and natural world as well as interior subject matter and still life - in a painterly manner with a leaning towards abstraction.
For you what does being an artist mean?:
Being able to express situations and process emotions and ideas, in an attempt to make sense of life.

A painter in oils and mixed media
Your practice & activities include e.g workshops, teaching:
I taught art in a middle school for 20 years and since then have run landscape courses for adults and taken part in numerous weekly residencies.
