Info
How do you describe your Gallery?:
This year we are at a NEW VENUE in the centre of Ross-on-Wye.
The Corn Exchange, 7 High Street, Ross-on-Wye HR9 5HL. Another historic building, where the town council used to have their offices
We are open to the public, 7 days a week all year except for Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Do you specialise in any particular artform or craft?:
We are a cooperative of 12 artists and show an eclectic mixture of work including painting, jewellery, print making, textiles, glasswork, woodcraft and ceramics.
What's important to you when you choose whose work to exhibit and sell?:
We look for artists to join our cooperative who display excellent quality and skill in their field. We have a range of different artists, who’s work complements each other and the gallery. We have one member who oversees the final display of the entire gallery to ensure it is looking fabulous.
What's coming up this year?:
We welcome guest exhibitions into the gallery. We will take part in FarOpen exhibitions and hArt week too.
We put on demonstrations and talks for local groups, when requested (eg WI groups)
Your notable exhibitions in the last few years:
The gallery is always evolving as membership changes and artists develop styles and approaches. The gallery has a constant new feel to it.
The year before last saw guest exhibitions including Alan Blethyn, Robbie Robertson, Sophie Ridley and Catherine Van Giap. Catherine has now become a member of the group. Last year saw the introduction of a new competition for local artists. The theme was Impressions of the Wye. it was wonderful to see all the amazing talent from the area, including the younger members of our community. Last year's guest exhibitors were John Sherahilo, Jane Foot, Walter Cherry and Janet Chaplin
