Info
How do you describe your Gallery?:
An informal gallery which runs alongside a busy cafe. The gallery showcases many talented local artists who specialise in woodwork, ceramics, sculpture, leather, jewellery, metal and 2D.
Do you specialise in any particular artform or craft?:
No. Although our prolific Resident Artist Ed Elliott (on site Sculpture Studio) has a large following and makes almost all of his work at the Trumpet, so we regularly have some of his pieces on display.
What's important to you when you choose whose work to exhibit and sell?:
We pride ourselves on local. It's part of the ethos at Trumpet Corner. We prefer to work with the local talent and showcase that as much as possible where we can.
What's coming up this year?:
We will be focussing on showcasing some of our current and new artists alongside providing our consistently delicious coffee, cakes and food in the cafe. We have an on site shop with Kirstie Ellis (Jewellery) too!
Your notable exhibitions in the last few years:
We hold a rotating exhibition of local artists all year round and are a regular participant in H.Art.
Who are the Artists you show on a regular basis:
Ed Elliott (on-site Sculpture Studio)
Kirstie Ellis (Jewellery)
Emma Marriage (Leather)
Allison Dumbrell (Paint and 2D Mixed Media)
