At Canwood Gallery, we understand that in today’s fast-paced world, finding moments of tranquility and inspiration is essential. Our gallery offers a serene escape where visitors can experience diverse artworks, exploring a variety of thought-provoking pieces from contemporary sculptures to avant-garde installations, all thoughtfully curated to inspire and challenge perspectives. The sculpture park, set within an area of outstanding natural beauty, allows visitors to enjoy art in harmony with nature.
We encourage engagement with the art community through exhibitions, opportunities to meet artists, and insights into their creative processes, with the option to purchase unique pieces. Visitors can also relax and reflect by catching up with friends at our on-site café, enjoying a coffee, and taking in the inspiring surroundings.
To make art accessible to all, we offer free entry, ample parking, and a welcoming environment for well-behaved dogs, making it a perfect outing for the whole family.
Do you specialise in any particular artform or craft?:
Nestled in the serene Herefordshire countryside, Canwood Gallery is a contemporary art gallery and sculpture park. We showcase a diverse range of works from renowned artists in our permanent collection including Carl Andre, Damien Hirst, Tracey Emin, Anthony Wishaw, Tomokazu Matsuyama, Angela Connor and Barbara Hepworth, while also supporting local artists, offering a unique opportunity to experience and purchase a diverse range of art in a tranquil rural setting.
What's important to you when you choose whose work to exhibit and sell?:
At Canwood Gallery, we bring together world-renowned and local artists to showcase a diverse collection of works that inspire, challenge, and captivate. Art, for us, is more than just what hangs on the wall—it’s about passion, perspective, and the stories each piece tells.
We believe in the power of art to ignite debate, shift viewpoints, and invite contemplation. Whether a piece moves you, challenges you, or even unsettles you, the conversation it sparks is what truly matters. Canwood is a space to step away from the everyday, to think deeper, to question, and to see the world a little differently—one artwork at a time.
What's coming up this year?:
